Here is a great picture of my mom with her new wig! The wig was courtesy from the most awesome women at The Butterfly Club. They are an awesome organization that does wonderful things for Women and Children with cancer. If you have a moment, click the link and check it out! They don’t only help people in our area either, they help folks all around the world. They are awesome!

Yesterday mom had her 3rd Chemo Therapy treatment. With her schedule with the oncology center, she has treatments during the first week of the cycle on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Then she has 2 weeks off, and then repeats the same days for the next cycle. On the last day of each cycle where she gets chemo, they give her a shot to boost her white blood cells.

She hasn’t felt any major side effects from the Chemo, though today she was really tuckered out. But she says she hasn’t felt any nausea which is good. The nurses told her she’s getting the Gold Standard Chemo drugs, haha. They’re super strong, considering the type of cancer we’re dealing with.

Our nurse today was a very nice woman named Maritza. She was so kind and very knowledgeable. All the ladies at the oncology center though are awesome.

Randy, my aunts boyfriend(basically our Uncle, even though they’re not married), Dad, Matt and myself were with my mom. Randy is crazy and has lived in this town his whole life, so we can’t go anywhere without him knowing someone. It was super awesome he came. I know my Aunt Becky wanted to come, but her jackass employer(who used to be my employer as well!) denied her FLMA as it’s only designated for Immediate Family, and apparently Sister is not immediate enough.

Tomorrow, or today rather as it’s pretty early in morning, Aunt Becky and Randy, as well as Randy’s girls Brittanie and Shannon, cousin Danielle and her new baby Allie will be coming over. Danielle is going to be making Shepherds Pie and her family famous Banana Pudding. I think this type of meal will be a great pick me up for anyone in our clan, especially Mom.
